Introduction
On most E-Learning projects, you will conduct many on going informal formative evaluation activities and at least one learner tryouts from the target audience after designing one or two modules and prior to the build-out of the final product.
Key Objective: Given your plan for tryout and revision of your product, conduct learner tryouts and decide what revisions to make to your product.
Enabling ObjectivesHere's the outline for this week.
- List three types of feedback to be collected during a tryout of an instructional product.
- State the relationship between the number of Test-Revision-Test cycles and payoff in terms of student achievement.
Continue to develop your product. Make any change to your storyboards suggested or required by the SME, client and me. Then move ahead to work on all the programing etc. towards your final product. FYI, The final products are due 8/28.
Reading: Horton - read Chapter 7 this week.
- Games and Simulations - Read this one on ideas for engaging activities. Try to use at least one activity type from this chapter 7 in your end product. Sink, D. (2016).
Group Assignment - A Tryout and Revision Plan
Write a 2-3 page plan using the 7 step checklist and other advice in the "Informal and Formal Formative Evaluation" document.
